Fans Don't Understand About Zendayas Fashion Evolution
Law Roach, a mega-stylist for celebrities, is responsible for looking after some of the most trendy celebrities in Hollywood, ranging from Zendaya, who is 28 years old, to Celine Dione, who is 56 years old. In his recently published book, titled "How to Build a Fashion Icon: Notes of Confidence from the World's Only Image Architect," which was made available to the public on Tuesday, October 1st, Roach, who is 46 years old, explains how confidence developed into the driving force behind his success.
When Roach celebrated the launch in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, he told Us Weekly about how confidence played a role in Zendaya’s fashion shift as well. As Roach put it, "Her style has developed in tandem with her maturation into a woman." When it comes to fashion, people have a tendency to forget that your taste buds develop in the same manner as your taste buds develop for food. Things that you didn't enjoy when you were younger may become more appealing to you as time goes on.
Roach and Zendaya have been working together for more than a decade, long before the actress gained a reputation for being one of the most stylish celebrities on the red carpet and in other public settings for that matter. In his new book, Roach recounts a moment in 2014 during New York Fashion Week when he imparted a few choice words of wisdom with his then-budding young actress and new client, Zendaya.
According to what Roach wrote in an excerpt that was initially distributed to Us Weekly, "She was not the global megastar and fashion icon you know her as today." "Yes, I was aware of it (and I informed her at every available opportunity), but the rest of the world was not yet aware of it."

Dressed in a yellow and blue Miuniku coat, frayed Rag & Bone jeans, and a white shirt from Acne, Zendaya drew the eye of photographers the instant she and Roach stepped out on the New York City sidewalk for Fashion Week.
As the stylist observed, “Some asked a few questions — most didn’t even know her name. We heard the shutter of a few cameras. I spoke softly into her ear and said, "They are not photographing you because you are a celebrity; rather, they are photographing you because you are beautiful."
On Tuesday night, he touched on Zendaya’s stylistic transformation that has coincided with her ascension from Disney superstar to A-list Hollywood actress over the last decade.
“When it comes to fashion, it’s like, we don’t like it because our mothers didn’t like it, right? And so that’s why I pushed the reader to read–to go out and try on things that they believe they don’t like just to watch the development of their palates.”
The stylist’s book brings readers “behind the scenes of his process and journey” while also “revealing his tips, tricks, and most memorable styling moments.”
In addition to charting Zendaya’s red carpet accomplishments, the author recounted a critical turning point for the actress’s longterm boyfriend, Tom Holland, 28, that took place during the 2018 Academy Awards, as depicted in an extract initially shared with Us Weekly. “When I put [Tom] in a custom Hermès double breasted tuxedo,” Roach wrote, “that got him named one of the best dressed by British GQ and Esquire.”
He said, “That night, [Tom] transformed into an adult in the eyes of many. And certainly, a flawlessly made, sharp suit might help mold that concept, but the clothing were merely a reflection of what was already inside.”
