Lana Condor Shares Sheer Devastation in Heartfelt Tribute After Moms Death

Lana Condor expresses her "utter devastation" in a touching tribute following the passing of her mother.

The news that Lana Condor's mother has passed away has been announced.

With the intention of writing an emotional homage, the 27-year-old star of "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" took to Instagram on Sunday, July 28, to share a photo of herself as a little girl, accompanied by her late mother, Mary Condor, who was holding her and smiling at the camera.

Lana voiced her surprise and explained her mental image of Mary as being alive when she was still living.

"I can't help but believe that you plan to contact me back immediately away. It keeps running through my head that I still have you here. I want, I need, you to know that every wonderful thing I am, is because of you,” Lana wrote.

It was through your guidance that I learned how to love the planet and other people as if there were no such thing as hatred. You instilled in me the importance of constantly following my intuition and trusting my gut impulses. You showed me empathy, in a world that needs much more of it. You taught me what unconditional love and compassion is, and that both should always be our first choice.”

Continuing the sad tribute, Lana explained how much she was already grieving Mary, who died away few “days” ago.

“You infused our world with so much joy and warmth and color that I fear the sunrises will always now feel somewhat muted because you aren’t here to watch them with me, like we always loved to do,” Lana wrote.

“It’s only been a few days since I lost you, but I miss you like you’ve been gone for way longer and also like you just left. I hope you are sprinting in the wind, and have all the answers to your unending quest. I miss you with my whole spirit. I used to say ‘I love you more than you could possible ever know’ I hope now, wherever you are, that you know. You found me first, and I pray with everything that I am, that you’ll find me again. I adore you endlessly.”

Lana signed off with “Love Lanzie” and added a dove emoji to the message.

Her admirers flocked to the comments area to express words of encouragement, including her To All The Boys co-star Madeleine Arthur.

“I love you so much sister. Your mom was such a beautifully remarkable woman and will be in our hearts forever. Big hugs to you, Anthony, your Dad and Arthur,” Arthur, 27, wrote.

Other well-known individuals also conveyed their sympathies.
