Christine Quinn Ex-husband Christian Richard Contentious Divorce
A significant judicial victory was achieved by Christian Richard, the estranged spouse of Christine Quinn, in the midst of their contentious divorce.
United States Weekly is able to confirm in an exclusive manner that a judge in a court in Los Angeles recently granted mental health diversion in the criminal case of Richard, who is 44 years old. Over the course of the following year, Richard will be required to make restitution, participate in community service, and attend treatment, as stated by a source. It is possible that the misdemeanor case could be dismissed after a year if the progress reports are positive. Additionally, the contents of the case are filed under seal.
She was present at the hearing on September 24 and challenged the decision with a "emotional" victim impact statement, which urged the court to deny her ex-spouse's request for mental health diversion. According to the court documents that were submitted in their divorce case and obtained by Us, Quinn, who is 35 years old, spoke out against the decision. During the course of their family law lawsuit, Quinn's counsel submitted documentation one day later that detailed a number of claimed violations of the temporary restraining order (TRO) against Richard.
Although the court granted Richard's request, it has mandated that he refrain from interacting with Quinn in accordance with the conditions that are now in place for the temporary restraining order. On January 28, 2025, the next hearing in this case is scheduled to take place.
After that, Quinn went on to accuse Richard of reaching out to her father and aunt on two different times, asking them to convey a message to her for "a simple, friendly conversation" that would "make a night and day difference," according to communications that were presented with the court. Quinn’s counsel stated that within five minutes after the verdict on September 24, Quinn received a text from an unknown “burner” phone number with a message to “chill out.”
Quinn is not pursuing contempt charges at this time, according to the papers.
Quinn and Richard sought for restraining orders against one another following an alleged domestic violence incident in March. The Selling Sunset alum’s request was approved while Richard’s was denied in April.
Quinn and Richard’s marital difficulties made news when he was arrested and detained in March for assault with a deadly weapon. A temporary restraining order was put in place following the event. Richard was hauled into custody for a second time after breaking the injunction when he returned to their home.

Richard then filed for divorce from Quinn after two years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for their split. Richard also requested full legal and physical custody of their 2-year-old son, Christian, while allowing Quinn access.
Court filings obtained by Us in April indicated that Quinn was seeking sole legal and physical custody because Richard’s “actions and behavior have put our son’s health and wellbeing at risk.” In the court update last month, Quinn’s legal team accused Richard of directly contacting her through Instagram twice since July.
In a statement to Us, Quinn’s lawyer Jacqueline Sparagna stated, “We hope Mr. Dumontet takes advantage of this opportunity to get the help he so clearly needs.”
Richard’s lawyer Alexandra Kazarian, meanwhile, would not comment on her client’s criminal case but did react to Us‘ comment request on Quinn’s claims.
“The depths of Ms. Quinn’s delusion are once again on display. Her crazy and unsubstantiated charges have not stopped and her lack of credibility is best appreciated when read in connection with the extraordinary public declaration by LAPD that her claims of hotel room bugging and purported surveillance by Christian were unfounded,” read the statement. “The reality is that Ms. Quinn enjoyed complete financial and personal independence during the marriage while spending upwards of $30,000 a month of his money and is now facing a divorce without a prenup, and having to repay the community assets with the millions she made during the marriage.”
